Terrainiums

Do you remember those large glass carboy Terrainiums which were so popular in the 70's, or maybe it was the 80's? I lose track of time, the years just flow by. Anyway, as soon as organic tangle patterns were mentioned in the Diva's Challenge this week a terrainium popped into my head and wouldn't move so I got out my green pen to see what I could do.

I chose floos and an upside down wist to plant in the tipple earth and surrounded it with Florz.

  1. I remember those terrariums, but like you, I have no idea decade I remember them from. I like the way you used non-objective tangles to result in an organic composition with recognizable elements. Very nice.

  7. Great tile! I definitely remember terrariums. Apparently they're back. I saw some beautiful ones in a nursery awhile ago that were in, what reminded me of, clear glass christmas ornaments but they were the size of a grapefruit.

  8. I don't remember, but I don't remember a lot these days. I'll bet they were pretty, but probably not as pretty as your lovely tangled terrainium :)
